Common questions

How much does a concreter cost?

Installed plain concrete is about $75–$150 per m² nationally (GST incl.); exposed aggregate $120–$200, coloured $95–$200, stamped $120–$200. See the state-by-state calculator.

Does a concreter need a licence?

Concreting for homes is licensed building work in most states. In NSW a contractor licence from NSW Fair Trading is needed for residential work over $5,000 (labour and materials, incl. GST); in Queensland a QBCC licence is needed for work over $3,300; in Victoria, domestic building work over $10,000 must be done by a registered builder (Building and Plumbing Commission). Check the licence number on the regulator's public register before paying a deposit.

How are businesses listed?

From Google Maps searches for concreters in each town. We read each business's website and quote the services it names. Nobody pays to be listed or ranked, and we show no invented reviews. How it works.

What does 'service-area business' mean?

Google Maps doesn't publish a street address for businesses that work at customers' sites. They appear in searches for the town shown, so ask where they're based and which suburbs they cover.
